Architect/Designer II

DCC Design Group is seeking an Architect II with an interest and/or related experience in interior design to join our multifaceted team. The Architect II will work under the supervision and mentorship of a Senior Project Architect, and will collaborate regularly with the project design team. DCC engages in small to large scale projects, principally in the field of Healthcare. The Architectural team is responsible for managing and delivering the production of design development through construction documents, and offers technical support on a range of project types to assist the design team.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for all phases of design, seeing projects from initial design concepts through construction completion
  • Coordinate project development with clients and participating consultants
  • Participate in the creation and execution of design presentations to the client
  • Coordinate comprehensive sets of construction documents
  • Engage with clients and key organizations to strengthen DCC’s presence and partnerships
  • Some travel to and from site visits, client meetings and presentations

Capabilities + Requirements:

  • 6-8 years’ experience as part of an Architectural Project Team
  • Technical proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite
  • Aptitude to lead a small team, preferred
  • Understanding of site operations and logistics, preferred
  • Thorough, with strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines and site operations as needed
  • Competence in applicable building codes and FGI Guidelines, preferred
  • Healthcare experience, preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Education + Credentials:

  • Professional NAAB accredited degree in Architecture
  • Licensed architect, or on path to licensure

Senior Interior Designer

DCC Design Group is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our multidisciplinary design firm. The Senior Interior Designer will oversee projects from initial planning and design concepts through construction administration, producing exceptional designs that effectively translate the needs and desires of the client while complying with budget parameters and building codes. DCC Design Group engages in projects of various scopes and sizes, from moderate interior fit-outs to extensive multi-phased renovation and expansion projects, principally in the field of Healthcare. Our team is looking for an individual who is passionate about all facets of design and planning, and who will thrive in our exciting, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Team to understand/establish project goals and objectives including, but not limited to: work plan, schedule, and budget parameters
  • Create and execute client presentations for all design phases
  • Develop space plans that are responsive and conform to the program requirements and client’s goals and objectives
  • Produce code compliant designs
  • Actively involved in all design phases, from schematic design, design development and construction documentation, through construction administration
  • Develop plans, elevations and architectural details that illustrate the design intent
  • Ability to manage project consultants and coordinate the project team
  • Participate in collaborative design charrettes for team projects
  • Engage with clients and key organizations to strengthen DCC’s presence and partnerships
  • Complete FFE scope tasks from design and selection through bid, coordinating with specific client and project needs
  • Offer support and mentoring to project designer staff
  • Provide quality assurance and control reviews
  • Potential growth into a leadership role within the firm
  • Some travel to and from site visits, client meetings and presentations

Capabilities + Skill Requirements:

  • 3-5 years’ experience as part of a Project Team as lead designer
  • Experience in Healthcare design, preferred
  • Technical proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite, preferred
  • Excellent graphic skills
  • Aptitude to lead a team of designers
  • Thorough, with strong attention to detail, multi-tasking abilities and time management skills
  • Takes initiative; ability to work independently or as a part of a team
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines and site operations as needed

Education + Credentials:

  • Professional Accredited Degree in Interior Design or related area of study
  • Licensed Interior Designer, or on path to licensure, preferred

Design Intern

We are currently seeking a part-time interior design intern. As an intern for the design team, you will be responsible for performing interior assignments, managing rep appointments, and maintaining the library to obtain professional experience.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in an architecture or interior design program, or recently graduated
  • Previous internship in an architectural or interior design firm preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, and Photoshop
