In New Brunswick, NJ, Robert Wood Johnson University introduced its new Trauma Intensive Care Unit as of November 29th 2022. Linked with the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the new facility renovations is over 10,500 square feet. Already linked to the largest academic medical center, this facility was already a high functioning and used patient care unit admitting over 2,200 patients a year. With over two years of work, the new facility has been built with state-of-the-art equipment, resources and operational efficiency.
The new Trauma ICU facility holds over 12 ICU patient rooms, private family rooms, private physical consultation rooms, and numerous operational clinical support areas. In addition, the facility has revolutionary new equipment, such as overhead lighting, booms, lifts, dialysis connections and high processing computers making it even more patient focused and care oriented. Treatment can be provided to patients directly in the room, providing immediate access to life saving equipment. Patient focus is a huge component to this renovation, providing a high level of dedicate, specialized care, and the best resources.
